This week, we conducted usability testing for ClicKita, with the goal of examining whether users are able to understand and complete the process of creating, editing, and configuring a game until it is launched in the classroom, while clearly understanding each step and the available options on every screen.

To support this, we built an interactive prototype of the screens using Claude, where buttons are clickable and transitions between screens simulate a real app experience:

The test was conducted with 6 users, who were asked to complete three main tasks that reflect actual usage of the app: creating a new game, editing an existing game, and modifying the groups' settings.

Key Insights

We received positive feedback from users, and all participants were able to complete the tasks. This may indicate that the interface is intuitive, although it is also possible that the tasks were not sufficiently challenging.

Users showed difficulty understanding the concept of the “follow-up game” and what happens when the game is launched. As a result, we added clarifications and updated the app before continuing with further testing.

In addition, we adjusted the placement of the edit icon so that it appears only next to the game title, rather than next to every field, in order to better define the editing action.

Finally, the structure of limiting the opening question to only four answer options was perceived as restrictive, suggesting a need to consider more flexibility in the number of possible responses.

In the coming weeks, we will continue conducting additional testing and refining the product based on the insights that emerge.
