This week, we continued preparing for our final presentation event and focused primarily on producing ClicKita’s explainer video. After several attempts, we realized that the content we created did not meet the quality standard we were aiming for. As a result, we decided to change direction and use AI tools to generate the visual materials. One of the main reasons for this decision was the difficulty of recruiting students and filming in a real classroom, a process that requires parental consent and complex coordination with schools.

In addition, during class, Lia and Ori presented the research seminar they conducted throughout the year for ClicKita. Their research served as the theoretical foundation for the development of our product and helped us better understand the psychology behind the social challenges that exist in classrooms.

Among the key topics presented were homophily - the natural tendency of people to connect with others who are similar to them. Ingroup/outgroup bias - the tendency to favor members of one’s own group over others. And conformity and stereotypes, which can reinforce social separation and make it more difficult for students outside existing social circles to integrate.

The seminar also introduced the P-O-X model, which explains how connections can be formed between individuals through shared interests or common ground. This concept directly influenced the design of ClicKita: a platform that connects students based on shared interests and encourages the creation of new social connections through short classroom games and activities.
